I was born and brought up in the middle of a city called Tokyo.
Tokyo was so big and complicated that it was transient and out of reach to me.
While struggling hard to make myself heard in a vague thought,
I found myself in a small town in Norway far away from Tokyo.
In the place that never influenced by the times and the environment,
I visited a distant town with a different culture and history
in order to look for a feeling that my voice is certainly heard.
In a small town in Norway, I learned the richness of things unchanged
and the courage to change things and it made me think that there must be surely some clues
to make people feel that they are making their own place to live in the big city like Tokyo.
The small town in a foreign country is a companion to my hometown Tokyo
and I feel ambivalent towards it.
